Weltenburger Kloster

Weltenburger Klosterbrauerei is one of Bavaria’s most historic beer names and is known as the world’s oldest monastery brewery. Located at Weltenburg Abbey near Kelheim, directly at the impressive Danube Gorge, the brewery traces its brewing tradition back to 1050 and stands for monastic heritage, Bavarian craftsmanship and a truly unique sense of place.

The brewery is especially famous for its rich, full-bodied and characterful monastery beers. Weltenburger Kloster Barock Dunkel is one of its signature specialties and has earned international recognition as an award-winning dark beer.
