Weihenstephan

Weihenstephaner is one of Bavaria’s most prestigious beer names and is widely known as the world’s oldest brewery. Located on the Weihenstephan hill in Freising, just north of Munich, the brewery traces its official brewing history back to 1040, when the former Benedictine monastery received the right to brew and sell beer.

Today, the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan combines almost a thousand years of brewing tradition with modern brewing science and precise quality standards. Its close connection to Freising’s brewing culture and academic brewing expertise gives the brand a unique position: deeply historic, but technically refined and consistently reliable.

The Weihenstephaner range brings exceptional depth to a Bavarian beer portfolio, from world-famous Hefeweissbier and Original Helles to Kristallweissbier, Dunkel, Pils, alcohol-free options and strong specialties such as Vitus and Korbinian. With its monastery roots, Freising origin and outstanding international reputation, Weihenstephaner offers one of the strongest heritage stories in Bavarian beer.
